Mark Fontana

graduated Palisades Park HS in 2005 as a three sport athlete (football,wrestling,baseball). After graduation he went onto wrestle at the Hofstra University For a top 10 program. After three years at Hofstra, Mark transferred and graduated from William Paterson University as a Health and Physical Education teacher. Mark is going into his tenth year of coaching with stops at New Milford (NJ), Paramus(NJ) , David Brearley (NJ) , Spencer Van Etten (NY), and Summit (NJ). Along with coaching at the high school level, Mark was also an Assistant Coach for Cornell’s Finger Lakes Wrestling Club and Apex Wrestling School (NJ). He has helped coach multiple top 25 teams, team state champs, state placers, state champs, NHSCA Champions and All Americans. This will be his first year at Colonial Forge.

 

Jon Barr

joined the Eagles in 2006 after a successful head coaching position at Rodney Thompson Middle School, where he led the Jaguars to four county championships in five seasons. Jon has led the Blue and Junior Varsity teams for us here at Colonial Forge. Coach Barr, his wife Annie and their three son’s live in King George and both are teachers in Stafford County.

 

Evan Stribling

is a 2003 graduate of Colonial Forge were he earned All-State honors as a senior wrestling at 189 pounds for the Eagles. Evan attended Coastal Carolina where he earned a degree in marine science and biology. Coach Stribling returned to The Forge in 2007 as a teacher and wrestling coach. He resides in Stafford with his wife Elizabeth.

 

Dale Oliver

returns for his ninth season; he comes to Colonial Forge from Canandaigua Academy in New York where he served as the assistant coach for 10 seasons and where he earned the National Wrestling Coaches Association’s New York Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2008. He is currently teaching Physical Education at Colonial Forge and has been part of the coaching staff for 4 of Colonial Forge’s 7 state titles. Dale has also excelled in the international coaching ranks serving as one of the coaches at the 2005 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary as well as the 2016 Cadet Pan-American Championships (the US won both Greco & Freestyle) and has been a member of the National Coaching Staff for USA Wrestling since 2002. Dale resides in Stafford with his wife Kiki, son Kyle, and daughter Wibecka. Dale has coached top Senior-level athletes at the 2004, 2008 & 2012 U.S. Olympic Training Camps, as well as the U.S. World Team Training Camps. He has extensive high school and college coaching experience. He coached two seasons as an assistant coach at Appalachian State Univ., over six years as an assistant coach at SUNY- Albany and five years as an assistant coach at SUNY- Brockport. He has over 28 years of experience coaching at the high school and junior high levels. As an athlete, Oliver was a member of the 1985 U.S. World Team which competed in Kolbotn, Norway, and was the 1st Olympic Alternate in the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. He was All-American 11 times at Senior National Greco-Roman tournaments, including an AAU National title. Oliver also has a number of place finishes at international competitions in Europe . Oliver competed in college for Monroe Community College , then on the Div. I level for Appalachian State University.

 

Cameron Houston

is a 2015 graduate of Colonial Forge where he was a State Finalist as a Senior for the Eagles. During his Senior year with the Eagles, Houston found himself on the podium of the Beast of the East and Escape the Rock tournaments. Prior to his first year on staff in 2016-17, Cameron wrestled under Joe Russell at George Mason University while finding himself in the starting lineup as a Freshman at 197 lbs. After one season of Div. 1 competition, Houston transferred to the University of Mary Washington to pursue a degree in Education. Coach Houston currently lives in Stafford with his family while attending school.

 

P.J. Pcsolinski

will return for his ninth season on the Forge coaching staff when the 2017-18 season commences.  Prior to joining the Forge wrestling staff in 2009, Coach Pcsolinski enjoyed a very successful run as the head coach at Hylton High School, that resulted in multiple district titles and compiled a 176-72 mark during his eight years at the helm.  P.J. was a three-year starter at Virginia Tech and was a 3x VHSL State Placewinner in the old AAA format.  Coach Pcsolinski resides in Fredericksburg and is an Assistant Principal at Lafayette Elementary School in Fredericksburg.

 

Joe Pyanoe (In Memoriam) July 23, 1976-July 21, 2004

Coach P was one of the founders of the Colonial Forge wrestling team. He was a 1994 graduate of Wall Township High School, Wall Township, N.J., and a 1998 graduate of Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pa with a bachelor of art degree in art. He was the head of the art department, wrestling coach, sponsor of the National Art Honor Society and co-sponsor, of the Molten Art Literary Magazine at Colonial Forge High School. He was a USA wrestling bronze-level coach, a Team Virginia National team coach, and women’s director for Virginia – USA wrestling.
